South Tyrol is one of the most famous Italy ski resorts, as mountain landscapes here are just gorgeous; think of the magnificent Dolomites, the “most beautiful mountains in the world”. Even the UNESCO now agrees with this idea; that’s why these mountains were proclaimed “World Cultural Heritage” in June 2009!
South Tyrol isn’t a famous ski resort Italy just thanks to its breath-taking landscapes, but also thanks to its organization and good services to its guests. An example is the fact that Val Gardena occupies the first position in British and German tourism rankings; the nearby Alpe di Siusi does the same for Italy family holidays!
Moreover, did you know that the biggest and most modern ski zone in the world is located in Italy? It’s called “Dolomiti Superski” and occupies three touristic regions: Trentino, South Tyrol and Veneto. Here you can ski from November till April and play many other winter sports such as: snowboard, Nordic ski, skitours, sledging, snowshoe hiking tours, ice skating, hockey …and even “sleddog” and “skijöring”!
